London: Day 4

Woke up combating a cold this morning. Ugh. But, powered through meetings all day today!

Our first meeting was in East London - Old Street. This area reminded me a lot of SOMA in San Francisco. Gutted warehouses bursting with startup energy.

After our first meeting, we walked along the canal to Angel, scoping out the houseboats and basking in the glorious 75 degree sunshine.

Our next meeting was down by Oxford Circus. I love this area. It’s like the Union Square of London — filled with shopping, cobblestone roads and narrow streets.

After our final meeting of the day, we enjoyed dinner at Belgo, a Belgian restaurant in London. Steamed mussels and chips. Delicious.

Later this evening, I met up with an old friend who lives in Los Angeles and is visiting his mum in London. We wandered around Portobello Road in Notting Hill, licked some divine gelato and caught up.

Wonderful (and uneventful) day 4! Tomorrow is packed with meetings, but I’m sure there is still tons to see :)

Cheers!
